Come connect with what's happening at Mariposa Ascendente, the regenerative demonstration garden and outdoor classroom, formerly a project of COFFA. We have been dreaming up some ideas for programming in the cocoon, and we'd love to hear what you'd like to see us provide. We're here to support rural resilience in the North Fork Valley and beyond. Let's crank up the wood stove, enjoy some snacks and music, and talk about what's possible.

Weavers Council is a space for community organizers, facilitators, creatives, visionaries & pretty much anyone to share and support each other in our processes of weaving community and culture into being. Resumes January 25, 2026. Meet at the Paonia River Park just down the boat ramp from the east end of the parking lot.
Bring a song to share or not.
This came about in response to a part of our watershed being slated to be piped, and the feeling that the land was grieving the loss of that water to the ecosystem. I heard the river asking to "gather people to sing to the river."

The Ash Circle is based on a West Africal (Dagara) conflict resolution ritual modeled by Sobonfu Somé. In my experience everyone in atttendance, whether participating or witnessing, comes away with deepened insight and connection.
Community Ash Circles may be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
